ENGAGEMENT MODELS

Four ways to work with us

The right delivery model depends on what you already have in place, not just the technical scope.

Fixed-scope project

A defined deliverable, timeline, and cost, agreed before work starts. Best when the scope is well understood.

Most common

Staff augmentation

Our engineers join your team and process, reporting into your leads, for as long as the workload requires.

Flexible capacity

Dedicated hire

One or more engineers assigned to your project exclusively, on a monthly contract, managed like an extension of your team.

Long-term work

White-label retainer

We build and maintain the platform behind the scenes; you own the brand, the customer relationship, and the roadmap.

Launch under your name

PROCESS

How an engagement runs

Four stages, in this order, every time. Skipping the review stage is where blockchain products get hurt.

  1. 01 / DISCOVERY

    Scope the problem

We map the use case, trust assumptions, and what "correct" means for your protocol.

  2. 02 / ARCHITECTURE

    Design and review

A written architecture proposal, including chain choice, contract structure, and threat model, reviewed with you.

  3. 03 / BUILD

    Staged development

Test coverage on every contract, delivered against a fixed scope.

  4. 04 / AUDIT

    Review and launch

Independent audit, remediation, and a supported mainnet deployment.

WHY BIRBAL AI

The second opinion before you write code

Most blockchain failures are not hacks. They are architecture decisions nobody questioned early enough. We are brought in specifically to be that second opinion.

  • Chain-agnostic recommendations. We will tell you when you don't need a blockchain at all.
  • Every contract ships with a written threat model, not just comments.
  • Audit and build are handled as separate disciplines, even on small projects.
  • Fixed-scope engagements with a named point of contact throughout.

SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

How we handle risk, by default

These are standing practices on every engagement, not optional add-ons you have to request.

Independent audit before every mainnet launch Threat model documented per contract Multi-sig custody by default on treasury contracts Static analysis plus manual review Data handling disclosed on every form Post-launch monitoring available
GLOBAL DELIVERY

Based in India, built for global teams

Most of our clients are outside India. We structure delivery around overlapping working hours, written specs, and async-friendly documentation, so distance doesn't slow the project down.

  • Core hours in IST, with deliberate overlap into US and EU business hours.
  • Every architecture decision documented in writing, not just discussed on a call.
  • A single named point of contact for the life of the engagement.

The Blockchain Project Readiness Checklist

27 questions to answer before you scope a blockchain build: chain selection, threat modeling, compliance triggers, and audit timing. Used internally on every engagement we run.

We log technical details like IP address and browser type for security purposes. See our data practices.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

What blockchain services does Birbal AI provide?

End-to-end blockchain software: smart contract development, DeFi platform engineering, tokenization, wallet development, Web3 integration, security audits, white-label solutions, custom software development, outsourcing, and dedicated developer hiring.

Does Birbal AI offer white-label products?

Yes. We build white-label wallets, exchanges, and DeFi dashboards that launch under your brand, with engineering and maintenance handled by us.

Can I just hire developers instead of running a full project?

Yes. Dedicated developer hiring and staff augmentation let you add blockchain engineers to your existing team on contract, without a separate project.

Which industries do you work with?

Industries in total, from financial services and supply chain to insurance, education, aviation, and non-profit. See the full breakdown on our Industries page.

How does an engagement start?

With a scoping call, followed by a written architecture proposal, a staged build against fixed scope, and a security review before mainnet deployment.

How long does a typical engagement take?

A fixed-scope smart contract build usually runs six to twelve weeks including audit. Staff augmentation and dedicated hiring are ongoing, month to month, for as long as you need capacity. White-label launches are typically measured in weeks, not months.

Do you work with teams outside India?

Yes. Most of our clients are outside India. We work IST hours with deliberate overlap into US and EU business hours for calls and standups.

What happens if an audit finds a serious issue?

We provide a written, severity-ranked findings report and remediation support until every finding is closed, before we sign off on a mainnet launch. We do not soften findings to hit a deadline.

Can you take over a project another team started?

Yes. We regularly review, audit, and continue development on contracts and systems we did not originally build, including maintenance and support retainers for legacy code.

Do you sign NDAs before scoping a project?

Yes, on request. Send this in your first message and we will send one over before the scoping call.

Do you offer tokenomics design as a standalone service?

Yes. Tokenomics modeling can be scoped on its own, before any development starts, or alongside a build. It covers supply schedule, incentive design, and treasury structure, stress-tested against realistic usage scenarios.

Can you train our internal team instead of building the product yourselves?

Yes. Our training and enablement service runs structured workshops for your engineering, product, or leadership teams, either standalone or alongside an outsourced engagement, so you build in-house capacity over time.

What's the difference between staff augmentation and dedicated hiring?

Staff augmentation is flexible: engineers join your team for the duration of a specific need and can scale up or down. Dedicated hiring is a longer, more committed arrangement where an engineer works exclusively on your project on a standing monthly contract.

Do you provide ongoing support after launch, or just the initial build?

Both. Maintenance and support is its own service line: monitoring, incident response, dependency updates, and contract upgrades for systems already in production, whether or not we built the original version.

How do you price an engagement?

Fixed-scope projects are quoted against a written specification after the scoping call. Staff augmentation and dedicated hiring are priced monthly per engineer. White-label retainers combine a setup fee with an ongoing maintenance retainer. You'll always see a written proposal before committing to anything.

Do you support cross-chain or multi-chain products?

Yes. We build cross-chain bridges and design products that operate across more than one chain when the use case genuinely calls for it, with a documented trust model for every bridge component rather than treating cross-chain as a single generic feature.

What happens if we need to change scope mid-project?

Scope changes are renegotiated in writing, not silently absorbed into the existing timeline or budget. You'll see the impact on cost and schedule before agreeing to any change.

Do you offer a discovery call before any paid commitment?

Yes. The first scoping call is free and unobligated. It's how we determine whether we're actually the right fit for what you're building before either side commits to anything.

Can you work with a team that has its own in-house developers?

Yes, this is common. We often work alongside an in-house team, either as an augmentation to it or as an independent second opinion on architecture and security, without requiring you to route everything through us.

Have a blockchain product to scope?

Tell us what you're building. We'll respond with next steps, not a sales script.
